Sedona & Amangiri — five to six days of red rock, canyon air, helicopter transit, and the rarest tented camp in the American Southwest. Single base. Entirely private.
Each region opens to its own page with hotels, activities, and air transport laid out in tabs. Tap a pill to dive in — back button on every sub-page returns you here.
Every property below is selected for a multi-bedroom configuration: two separate bedrooms (each with its own door), two separate full bathrooms, and a minimum bed setup of one king plus one king or queen. Jim's room is positioned as the larger / nicer of the two when split across rooms. Beverage default: craft beer + wine; no champagne.
Realistic options given the Aman-only arc. Both fit the trip; weather is the differentiator.

Spring (April / May) is peak season — private guides and helicopter slots fill fast. Call 6–8 weeks before arrival. One conversation with L'Auberge's concierge lines up every moving piece below. Read the scripts verbatim; they encode pace, group size, and preferences in the language concierges expect.
Sedona's first professional tour guide and the consensus #1 pick — ranked by resort concierges and international travel specialists as "one of the best guides in the world." Fully private, fully custom, fully adaptable. This is the White Wolf equivalent for Sedona: pickup at L'Auberge, priority on Cathedral Rock or Devil's Bridge in a clean 2-hour active window, transfer back to resort or FBO included. Brief him on the pace, the bedrock interest in geology/landscape over tourist narration, and the 2-person private group.
Private group only · Free cancellation up to 24 hrs.
If Benny is booked, or if the day's plan calls for something other than a Sedona-local hike — these are the two operators to fall back to.
For an efficient pace, ~2 hours, big-payoff red-rock terrain — Benny / Earth Tours is the top pick. Brisk pace, informed commentary, no crowd-management drag. Brief him on which trail from the list below.
The visual scale of Sedona genuinely demands a private flight. Three operators worth considering — Guidance Air is the consensus premier choice.
The on-airport FBO operated by the Sedona-Oak Creek Airport Authority. Full private aviation services — Jet-A fueling, GPU/power cart, hangar tie-downs, passenger lounge, catering. Will coordinate ground transfer from the moment of touchdown.
Pilot note: KSEZ sits atop Tabletop Mesa with 500-ft cliff edges at both runway ends and known terrain-induced downdrafts in strong wind. Density-altitude planning is essential. Best-suited for light/mid-size jets and turboprops — Citation class, King Air, Pilatus PC-12, Phenom 300. Confirm aircraft-specific performance with the crew before booking.
L'Auberge does not run its own shuttle, but its concierge will gladly arrange transfers. For a VIP-matched arrival (uniformed driver waiting curbside at the FBO with a nameplate), pre-coordinate one of these:
Private jet via family NetJets quarter share, departing the family's home FBO at Sugar Land Regional (SGR) — ~25 min SW of inner-loop Houston. Direct flight ~2.5 hours. SDX is a small private airport 10 minutes from L'Auberge — the resort handles tarmac pickup. No commercial transit, no TSA, doors-to-cottage in roughly 3 hours from home.
Aman concierge can arrange direct helicopter pickup from Sedona to Amangiri's private helipad. Optional add-on: Grand Canyon East Rim scenic flyover en route — turning the transit into a defining experience. Eliminates the 5-hour drive through Flagstaff.
If Aman can't arrange the Sedona-side pickup directly, fallback: a private charter from a Sedona-based operator (Apex Air or Zion Helicopters). Aman's heli takes over from there.
Per Aman's published full-board structure. No menu decisions, no checks, no tips on the bill — exactly the friction-free arc that suits Jim.
Nine bookable settings for private dinners and sunset canapés — from Dinner on the Rocks in a lantern-lit sandstone nook to the Camp Sarika–exclusive Raven's Nest, plus in-pavilion en-suite dining. Each venue is pre-curated by Aman's chefs with menus tailored to your dietary preferences and occasion. Flip through the official 2026 brochure below for photography, capacity, and pricing.
